Icons of the Inside Passage Opening March 7, 5-9PM

Hello! Hello! It’s time for a show! Come check out my show at Collins Pub in Pioneer Square, Icons of the inside Passage. I spent time traveling through the Inside Passage, the waterway connecting the Salish Sea and southeast Alaska, while working as an expedition guide/naturalist on a small cruise ship. I find these interconnected ecosystems fascinating. The change from the natural grandeur of Alaska to the gentler and more populated shorelines of the Salish Sea is really obvious when traveling by ship, and I think it’s interesting that the same dichotomy showed up in my paintings.

Come check it out! I’ll be there on March 7 from 5-9PM, so you can join me for a beer. Or come some other time for lunch or appetizers. I like their calamari, and I’ve heard they have good burgers too! Details below:

Holiday Open House this Thursday!

It’s almost time for our Holiday Open House at ‘57 Biscayne. This one’s for friends and family, and you’re on the list! Come join me and two floors of artists for wine, appetizers, conviviality, and plankton. I’ll be giving away a tiny piece of art to anyone who ventures into my studio, #206, all the way at the end of the hallway. Be sure to stop by M&M Jewelry Studio. They’re raffling off a diamond necklace! You’ll need a door code, read all the way to the end of the email.

Friends and Family Night at 57 Biscayne. It’s almost the holidays and a great time to visit your favorite artists and have a lovely beverage, indoors, with lovely art. This year, we are inviting only our nearest and dearest (you), and you will need a door code for entry. Kinda like a speak-easy, you have to know somebody to get in. And you know ME! I’m working on a special free give-away for this event, so come to my studio and mention “friends and family”.

Squared Seas at Gary Manuel Salon in November

I have a solo show, Squares Seas, at Gary Manuel Salon in Pioneer Square this month. It’s part of COCA ShowWalls, and I am super excited to have my work there! Since it is a working hair salon, they ask that folks coming to see the art visit on Thursdays between 10-6. They also do great hair. If you’re having your hair cut there, you can see my art during your appointment. I go to Carson. She’s fantastic with the wild and curly Liz locks.

While you’re there, be sure to visit the hand washing room in the back left of the salon. It looks amazing!
